Responsible AI for Societal Impact

My research aims to develop responsible AI focusing on social good, addressing key societal challenges such as online civility and sustainability. I propose new approaches to fostering civil online communication, including identifying technological harms, explaining their causes, and developing mitigations. Additionally, I explore how AI can support sustainable dietary habits by overcoming barriers to adopting plant-based foods. In doing so, I highlight the importance of making AI more socially aware, addressing issues like harmful language generation, and the responsible portrayal of AI capabilities in tech-related discourse.
